Pierclaudio Fei, born in Florence Italy in 1966, obtained his Diploma in violin in 1988 under the guidance of Maestro M. Nesi from the Conservatory of Ferrara.

He then went on to obtain his Diploma in Viola in 1996, after studying intensively with Julie Shepherd, from the Conservatory of Perugia.

In 1998 he sucessfully took his Diploma in Trombone at the Conservatory of Livorno under the guidance of Alessio Barsotti.
He has always has a great passion for both chamber and orchestral music and has worked with many distinguished artists inlcuding; Felix Ayo,Cristiano Rossi, Salvatore Accardo, Luciano Pavarotti, Cecelia Gasdia, Alberto Zedda, Sonny Rollins, e.t.c.
He has performed in many theatres including; Teatro alla Pergola and Teatro Comunale di Firenze, Teatro Regio di Parma, Aditorium RAI di Roma and has taken part in numerous tours throughout the World e.g. England, Spain, France, Mexico, Poland, Germany, e.t.c. As a member of The Rolla Viola Duo he has taken part in many live concerts including in the Summer of 2001 the Niagara International Chamber Music Festival.

Consequently, they were invited to take part in the 30th Int. Viola Congress in Seattle in 2002. He currently teaches violin at the Scuola Media Statale of Follonica and is a member of the Orchestra Camera Fiorentina. Since 1999 he has dedicated much of his musical life to conducting, taking part in courses in Canada (July 2000) and U.S.A. (July/August 2001) obtaining scholarships in both cases as the best foreign student.

He has been Principal Conductor of The Orchestra Geminiani of Follonica since the the foundation of the orchestra.
